AWAKING IN NEW YORK.

By Maya Angelou

1928-2014

Curtains forcing their will
against the wind,
children sleep,
exchanging dreams with
seraphim. The city
drags itself awake on
subway straps; and
I, an alarm, awake as a
rumour of war,
lie stretching into dawn,
unasked and unheeded.

  1. Hi there, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one
and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses?

If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can recommend?
I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any assistance is very much appreciated.
Hi, I read your blog daily. Your story-telling style is awesome, keep up
the good work! Its like you read my thoughts! You seem to understand so much approximately this, such as
you wrote the ebook in it or something. I think that you simply could do
with a few p.c. to force the message house a bit, but other
than that, that is excellent blog. A great read.
    I will definitely be back.

  4. Having read this I thought it was really enlightening. I appreciate
you taking the time and energy to put this short article together.
I once again find myself spending a significant amount of
time both reading and posting comments. But so what,
    it was still worth it!
